To Modify and Use the Waterview Greenbelt Property, you must submit a Request To Use The Greenbelt Form to ECCWaterview@gmail.com, and pay the assessment fee online, or print out the form and mail it to:

A Verification of an Exemption from the FL DEP is required to determine whether the greenbelt area directly behind your property contains Uplands, Wetlands or other surface waters. You have the option to set up an appointment with the FL DEP to review your project, or you can submit the application without meeting with the DEP.
Ensure you list the Waterview Greenbelt as the project area on your request, not your personal property/lot.
1 - Set up an Online Appointment: Submit a date and time for your appointment with the DEP. Meet with the DEP Contact and ask any questions, etc. you have about the Verification Process and your project.

2 - Submit the DEP Verification Application via the DEP Business Portal
- Create an account with an email and password.
- Click Apply then click Build. Select the box “Request for Verification of ERP Exemption/State 404 Authorization”
- Complete the application and ensure you list the Waterview Greenbelt as the project area on your request, not your personal property/lot.
- Make sure to upload site plans
- It will take 30 days for you to receive the letter from the DEP
A Non-Exclusive License Agreement is required to use the Waterview Greenbelt, and it must be signed and notarized by the president of the Waterview Property Owners Association along with the license fee that can be paid online. This agreement must also be filed with Charlotte County.
All New and Existing Residential Homes in the Waterview (Section 94), must be in compliance with the Waterview Covenants and Restrictions and the Environmental Control ECC (ARC) Guidelines. Please complete the Waterview Residential Home, Detached Garage and/or Remodel (ACC) Application to obtain ECC Approval. All permit applications must be completed in full and returned to:

with all required supporting information and applicable fees that are listed below.

- Application review fee is $300 for new homes.
- Application review fee is $150 for additions altering existing homes/sq.ft. under air.
- Application review fee is $150 for garages and other accessory buildings.
- Application review fee is $100 for fences.
- Application review fee is $0 for all exterior color painting/roofing of existing structures.
- In ground pools and roof replacement do not require ECC review.

NO CONSTRUCTION OR CHANGES TO THE WATERVIEW GREENBELT SHALL BE MADE UNTIL THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL COMMITEE REVIEWED AND APPROVED YOUR APPLICATION.
The ECC is scheduled to meet once a month to review all ECC applications. We will not delay your construction as our responses will be done in a timely manner. Any incomplete permit application packages will not be reviewed. They will be held until the next monthly ECC meeting pending receipt of the missing and/or additional information or fee. If the application is not completed within 6 months it will be denied. Applications expire after 1 year if work has not been started.
